What to Expect
Your day begins with an early morning departure from Durban as we travel north toward the small coastal village of St Lucia. We aim to reach the beach launch site in time for the morning ocean safari before the afternoon sea breeze strengthens.
The whale watching launch itself is an adventure. Your experienced skipper expertly navigates the boat through the surf and into deeper water where humpback whales are often seen during migration season.
Whale watching regulations ensure respectful and safe wildlife encounters. While boats cannot approach too closely, the size and behavior of these magnificent animals often provide breathtaking sightings and unforgettable photography opportunities.
After the whale safari, we return to St Lucia village for lunch at one of the local restaurants (own account).
