A Longer Kruger Safari with Time to Explore
Five days gives you something a shorter Kruger trip cannot: more unhurried time in the park, more game-drive opportunities, and the flexibility to respond to wildlife rather than race through a checklist. This private guided safari is designed for guests travelling from Durban who want a substantial Kruger experience without having to organise the route, accommodation and daily logistics themselves.
Your guide, Paul, has spent years guiding in Kruger National Park. The route will be adapted around current conditions, seasonal wildlife movement and the final accommodation plan. We keep the public itinerary useful but deliberately flexible—wildlife does not work to a timetable.
Provisional 5-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Durban to the Kruger Region
Early collection from your Durban-area accommodation. We travel north to Kruger through Eswatini, which is the standard route for this safari. A valid passport is essential. Guests who require a visa for South Africa must ensure that it allows multiple entries so they can re-enter South Africa after travelling through Eswatini. After check-in, the aim is to begin the safari experience with an afternoon or sunset wildlife drive where timing permits.
Day 2: Full-Day Kruger Safari
A full day is devoted to exploring Kruger. We leave early, when animals are often at their most active, and use waterholes, river systems and recent sightings to shape the day. There is time for comfort stops and meals at suitable rest camps.
Day 3: Deeper into the Park
Today allows us to explore a different part of Kruger and, depending on the final camp plan, move between regions of the park. Changing habitat creates opportunities for different species and keeps the safari varied. The exact route remains flexible so that your guide can make the most of current conditions.
Day 4: A Second Full Safari Day
Another full day of guided game viewing gives us time to revisit productive areas or concentrate on species and experiences still high on your wish list. This is the advantage of a longer private safari: the pace can respond to the guests and the wildlife.
Day 5: Final Drive and Return to Durban
After a final morning wildlife opportunity, we begin the return journey to Durban. Arrival time will depend on the final route, border conditions and comfort stops.

The final quotation will confirm the camps, room basis, meal plan, vehicle arrangements and any optional open-safari-vehicle activities. The journey between Durban and Kruger travels through Eswatini.
