Day 1 – Durban to St Lucia and Estuary Cruise
Your safari begins with collection from your Durban accommodation and a comfortable journey north through KwaZulu-Natal. On arrival in St Lucia, there is time to settle in and begin exploring the area’s relaxed coastal atmosphere.
The first major wildlife experience is a boat cruise on the St Lucia Estuary. From the water, search for hippo pods, Nile crocodiles and birds such as fish eagles, kingfishers, herons and waders. The boat captain explains the estuary and the behaviour of the animals encountered.
Depending on arrival time and the programme selected, the afternoon or evening can include additional guided wildlife viewing or time to enjoy St Lucia. Dinner arrangements will be confirmed as part of the final package.
Day 2 – Full-Day iSimangaliso Exploration
After breakfast, spend the day exploring iSimangaliso Wetland Park with your guide. The route is chosen according to conditions, wildlife activity and the interests of the group rather than following a rigid checklist.
